My Grandpa

An Interview

My grandpa is a truly remarkable man, whose intelligence and resilience have shaped both his life and mine. Growing up with very little, he faced many hardships, but his sharp mind and relentless work ethic turned those challenges into opportunities. He achieved success through his business, building a life of comfort and accomplishment. Even in his later years, he remains active, swimming and playing golf daily. Beyond his professional success, he has taught me the importance of independence and confidence, lessons that continue to guide me every day.

Tell me something you are proud of.

I am proud of raising a successful company and daughter.

Imagine you are receiving an award for one thing - anything - that you’ve done in your life. What would it be for?

If I received an award for anything, it would be for being a great entrepreneur.

What childhood experience shaped you into who you are?

Ever since I was young, I have always been curious about everything, always wanting to know more. I didn’t have a really “major” childhood experience that shaped me, but for as long as I remember, I have always wanted to do something with my life.

Who has influenced you?

My mother was always there for me in my childhood. She helped me with schoolwork. During adulthood, I continued to look up to my mother for guidance and support throughout my studies and as I figured out how to be an adult. Her optimistic and caring nature inspired me to become the person I am today. She has always been there for me, and I could not appreciate her more.

What advice do you have for future generations?

Keep learning, be curious, and be willing to explore new ideas. Be accepting and be respectful towards others.

What do you wish young people knew and understood?

I want young people today to know and understand the power of technology and how it can change the world in the future. At the same time, we should understand the diversity and complexity of society, and learn to respect different cultures and viewpoints.

How is today’s society different from when you were young?

With the rapid development of technology, society has changed dramatically since I was born. Access to information is more convenient, communication methods are more diverse and the pace of life is faster.

What concerns do you have for the next generation?

They face more complex social problems and development challenges. With the continuous development of society, people need to constantly adapt to the new environment and lifestyles, which will put pressure on them.

What changes are you glad to see in this generation?

I like to see that they have a certain enthusiasm and are willing to contribute to improving the environment and helping others.

What do you want to see in future generations?

I hope to see a more inclusive and innovative community in the future. I hope that people will try new things and constantly explore unknown areas.

What lessons and values from your life do you want to pass on to future generations?

Kindness and honesty are fundamental to being a human being. Use your time wisely, as it is the most precious resource. Always keep working towards your goals, because you never know when something will happen.
