Once upon a time…

I started a publication for youth opinion writing. I wanted to empower other young people to use writing to share their perspectives on the world around them and stand up for change.

However, I have come to realize that our perspectives are not only our own. I created reGenerations because of my grandparents. As two major influences throughout my childhood, their everyday words and actions showed me that kindness is strength and helping people comes first. Because of them, I now understand that the people around us shape who we are, how we think, and how we see our world. Perspectives transform across generations - and if we record the past, we can better understand the present.

Through reGenerations, I want to bring back the tradition of preserving the stories of the aging people in our lives. I want to start conversations, build connections. And always, I hope to share my love of writing and help other young people believe in the power of their own voice.
